University of Maryland, Major: Journalism, Minors: Creative Writing

Marlena Chertock is a fourth-year journalism major at the University of Maryland. She focuses on writing articles, writing for radio, producing short documentaries and multimedia projects and social media. Marlena serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Jimenez-Porter Writers’ House newsletter, The Writers’ Bloc. She also enjoys writing poetry, short stories and personal essays.

Ethan Bennett, Communications Specialist Second Session 2012

American University, Major: International Studies

Ethan Bennett is about to begin his second year at American University in Washington, D.C, with a major in international studies.  Ethan enjoys blogging about political and social issues on his personal blog. Ethan is also a history buff, formerly holding a position at the Baltimore Museum of Industry in the collections department, where he curated exhibits, catalogued historical pieces and wrote literature for tours. Ethan has been attending Mosh since 2003 and is very excited to be returning to work on tzevet for his second year. He is also excited to be managing the blog and other social media during the second session of camp!
